It was the 1860th year when a French inventor first used the word 'helicopter', so termed, a small steam engine built in the model. After 17 years in 1877, the first unmanned helicopter took off 43 feet (13 meters) altitude, leading to the development of helicopters.
1. Mil V-12 - the largest helicopter in the world has ever seen. Soviet Union in the years 1960s developed this huge helicopter and two were erected prior to the project withdrew because the helicopter was too large for practical us.
2. Mi-26 - the largest helicopter, which departed in mass production. It was designed as a heavy transport military equipment, and carrying capacity - 56 tonnes.
3. Mi-6 - another Russian masterpiece, crafted in 1950 years. Was then the largest helicopter, to the ailing Mil V-12 project. The first days of the then set up several records, including the speed record 211 mph (~ 340 kilometers) per hour. Payload - 44tonnas.
4. Mi-10 - also known as a flying crane, developed in Russia, in the 60s. This 'tap' production began in 1963 year and the payload - 38tonnas.
5. Sikorsky CH-53E - the largest and heaviest helicopter that United States had ever built. Also called a super stallion, the production went to the 1966th year. Used in the preparation of artillery transport, carrying capacity - 33.3 tons.
